A few common reasons I hear from people for why they don’t go to a gym is that they don’t want to join a gym because they’re expensive, they join and never go or they don’t have the confidence to go to a gym.
Even though there are so many awesome benefits to going to a gym like having heaps of great equipment to use, you can do classes and learn different workouts and techniques and also you can meet other like-minded people there.
With or without a gym membership you can still get an awesome workout wherever you are.
Find ways that you can work out every day.
Take the stairs wherever possible. If your building has a set of stairs incorporate that into your at home workout.
Move the furniture to the side in your lounge room and set up a big, clear area to do a workout.
If you need a little inspiration you can find a bunch of great fitness apps that will take you through a full body workout and you don’t require too much space for.
Alternatively, you can also go on Youtube and search workout routines.
There is a wealth of information right at your fingertips. You don’t always need to fork out heaps of money to get a great workout routine.
If the weather’s nice head outdoors and go for a walk or a jog.
Try and push yourself a bit and look for things that you can use along your way that you can incorporate into your workout ie;
– A hill for hill sprints or walking up with full leg muscle activation.
– A chair/step to do step ups, jump ups
– A big open area to do lunges, squats, push ups, sit up, burpees and anything else you can think of.
Rope a friend into coming along with you.
I find working out with a buddy not only makes it more fun because you can have a laugh and catch up with one another but you also end up coming up with even more ideas and pushing each other even further.
